Installation
To install an application, log in to My Zone control panel and click on Zone+ from the top menu.
Click the +Add Zone+ Application button and Install now under the desired application.
Pick a destination for the app and click on Install application
The ‘/folder‘ field will stay empty by default – fill it in only if you deliberately wish to install the application to a domain’s subfolder.
Copying
To create a copy of an application choose My installs from the Webhosting, Web applications menu, My instals and click on Settings button.
From the next window, click Copy
Choose the destination for the copy. The folder field will stay empty by default – fill it in only if you deliberately wish to install the application to a domain’s subfolder.
Before cloning, make sure that the target host’s root folder is empty and that the PHP versions of the origin and destination virtualhost match.
Automatic updates in Zone+ Application Manager
Apps installed through Zone+ all have automatic upgrades turned on by default. If necessary, it is possible to turn off major updates (Minor versions automatically) or turn off automatic updates completely.
Keep in mind that leaving your web application not updated for a while creates a potential security risk.
Prior to any updates from our side, an automatic backup is created and restoring the website from that backup is free of charge and accessible from your view.
The backup-restoration function is very handy in case the website breaks after the update.
Application snapshots and restoring from them
To create a snapshot of an application installed via Zone+, press the Take snapshot button in the Snapshots view. As a result, a separate copy of the website’s files and database is created on the server. Snapshots are stored on the server in zoneplus_snapshots folder and are kept for 14 days.
To restore your web application from a snapshot, click on Restore button, after which the application’s files and database will be restored as of the date and time indicated.
Deleting an application
To delete an application choose My installs from the Webhosting–> Web applications menu and click on Settings button.
From the next window, click Delete
Migrating a WordPress website to Zone hosting
The Zone+ WordPress import tool allows you to quickly and conveniently transfer a website hosted with another provider to a Zone server – without manually moving files or databases. To migrate, you only need the WordPress administrator username and password or FTP/SSH credentials.
The import tool can also be used for WordPress websites that were not originally installed via the Zone+ application manager.
