# Expiration of .COM, .NET, .ORG, etc. domains

When a domain expires, the website and email will stop working and a 29 day **grace period** will start. During this period, the domain can be renewed in **`My Zone`** control panel at the normal price (as described in the price list).

At the end of the ***grace period***, the domain will either:

- **RGP (Redemption Grace Period)** – which lasts from 30 to 42 days, followed by a ***Pending delete*** period of 5 days.
Once in ***Pending Delete*** status, the domain cannot be reactivated and once it expires, the domain is released.

or

- **ERGP (Extended Redemption Grace Period)** – which can last up to 90 days after the grace period expires. This in turn is followed by a ***Pending Delete*** status, i.e. a period of 5 days before the domain is deleted.
In ***Pending Delete*** status, the domain can no longer be restored and once it ends, the domain will become available for registration.

If the ***Grace period*** has ended and you wish to continue using the domain, then you need to contact our customer support at <tuki@speedzone.fi>.
We will directly contact the central registry and find out if it is possible to renew the domain and under what conditions.

\* Upon renewal, the expired domain will become operational again within 24 hours.
