Introduction and summary
Many long-term customers of Zone Media OY have recommended our services to their customers, partners and friends. We thank them all for their trust and we want our gratitude to be reflected in their SpeedZone account as well. That’s why we’ve launched our affiliate program for regular referrals.
Each participant in the program will receive a personal link that they can share with their referrals. The winners are both subscribers who receive all new annual web hosting service packages ordered through the link at a reduced price, and program members who receive a membership bonus for all services ordered through their links.
Like the SpeedZone itself, our affiliate program is also constantly evolving. Therefore, we reserve the right to change the terms of the program from time to time or, if necessary, to terminate the program. Of course, in connection with changing the terms of the program or terminating the program, all benefits and bonuses granted until then will remain in effect.
Terms and conditions
1. Affiliate programme and membership status
1.1 The purpose of Zone Media OY’s (“SpeedZone”) affiliate program (“Program”) is to involve SpeedZone’s current and new customers in the marketing of SpeedZone services and to identify and support more active recommenders.
1.2 Every SpeedZone customer who has submitted a membership application to SpeedZone and whose application has been accepted by SpeedZone can become a member of the program (“partner”). The applicant for membership confirms that he accepts these conditions. When accepting or rejecting a membership application, SpeedZone takes into account the applicant’s customer experience, payment behavior, etc., but it does not have to justify its decision to the applicant.
11.3 The partner’s membership in the program ends (a) if the partner notifies SpeedZone of his wish to leave the program, (b) upon termination of the customer agreement between the partner and SpeedZone, (c) if SpeedZone notifies the partner of his decision to terminate membership, or (d) if SpeedZone notifies the partner and/or the public of his decision to end the program. The partner does not have to justify his desire to leave, and SpeedZone does not have to justify its decisions.
1.4 The termination of the cooperation partner’s membership does not affect the validity of the discounts or membership bonuses given at that time.
2. Affiliate link and how to use it
2.1 SpeedZone provides the partner with a personal web address (“link”), which the partner can, at his own discretion, share at the time and in the way he chooses and through which it is possible to order SpeedZone services at a reduced price.
2.2 When these terms and conditions enter into force, it is possible to order web hosting packages Entry, Basic, Business and Pro through the links, while SpeedZone gives each subscriber of the service ordered through the link (“subscriber”) 50% of the normal price of the corresponding service for 12 months, provided that the subscriber (a) does not notify the service contract within 12 months, does not request to change the service package to a cheaper one, and (b) pays the full fee for the 12-month period to SpeedZone when ordering the service. For the sake of clarity, after the 12-month period has expired, the subscriber can freely request a change in the billing period or service package or termination of the service contract.
2.3 SpeedZone may at any time, at its discretion, change the range of services ordered through the links and the discounts given to subscribers by notifying the partner and/or the public.
3. Collecting membership bonus
3.1 SpeedZone gives the affiliate a membership bonus for services ordered through their partner link.
3.2 The member’s bonus applies to Entry, Basic, Business and Pro web hotel packages as well as Business, Pro and Platinum Smart Cloud server packages (https://www.zone.fi/fi/hallinnoitu-pilviservittin/), and it is paid in April and October of the current year.
3.2.1 When ordering Entry, Basic, Business and Pro web hotel packages, SpeedZone calculates a bonus of 10, 20, 30 and 50 euros for partners for the first year. During the four years following the first year, SpeedZone calculates the partner’s bonus as follows:
a) When using the Entry package, a total of 28 euros, i.e. 7 euros per year;
b) When using the Basic package, a total of 48 euros, i.e. 12 euros per year;
c) When using the Business package, a total of 84 euros, i.e. 21 euros per year;
d) When using the Pro package, a total of 136 euros, i.e. 34 euros per year;
To be clear: if the subscriber changes the service package to a more expensive package within 5 years of ordering the original service, the more expensive service package is considered a service ordered through the link in years 2-5.
3.2.2 When ordering the Business, Pro and Platinum packages of the Smart Cloud server, SpeedZone calculates a bonus of €100, €125 and €150 for the affiliate for the first year, respectively. The bonus applies only if the subscriber continues to use the services ordered through the affiliate link after 90 days have passed from the initial order.
3.3 If the subscriber cancels the service contract or requests to exchange the service package for a cheaper one within the first year of placing the order via the affiliate link, SpeedZone may fully reclaim the membership bonus given to the partner for this service. In years 2 to 5, SpeedZone may reclaim the membership bonus given to the affiliate in proportion to any refunds or offsets made to the subscriber in connection with the services ordered through the affiliate link.
3.4 If SpeedZone changes the selection of services ordered through affiliate links and does not inform the affiliate or the public about the conditions for calculating the membership bonus for the services included in the selection, SpeedZone will calculate a bonus for the affiliate within 5 years of ordering these services through the partner link in the amount of 15% of the net amounts of the invoices for these services to the subscriber.
3.5 SpeedZone does not give the affiliate a bonus for any service not ordered through the affiliate link.
3.6 SpeedZone does not give the affiliate a bonus for services that have been used by the affiliate.
4. Using the membership bonus
4.1 SpeedZone transfers the bonuses calculated for the affiliate to the affiliate’s SpeedZone account no more than once per 6-month period, provided that at the time of making the transfer (a) the affiliate and none of the respective subscribers have debts that have become due to SpeedZone, (b) at least 90 days have passed since buying the respective service, (c) the respective service is still active, (d) the respective service package has not been changed to a cheaper one and (e) the total amount of all bonuses credited to the partner, but not yet transferred to the affiliate’s SpeedZone account, is at least €50.
4.2 The affiliate can use the bonus credited to their SpeedZone account to pay for SpeedZone services. In this case, SpeedZone issues an invoice to the affiliate for the corresponding service, where the service fee is reduced by the bonus used.
4.3 Upon the affiliate’s request submitted in a form which can be reproduced in writing, SpeedZone pays out the bonus accumulated in their SpeedZone account or a part of it. When making a payment to a affiliate who is a physical person, SpeedZone withholds all taxes prescribed by the law in force at the time of payment.
4.4 Upon termination of the customer agreement concluded between the affiliate and SpeedZone, the bonus credited to the affiliate’s SpeedZone account will be offset against the affiliate’s debts that have become due and the bonuses not yet credited to the affiliate’s SpeedZone account will be cancelled.
5. Application of Zone Media OY terms and conditions
5.1 A affiliate can only be a person who has a valid customer contract with SpeedZone, in matters not regulated in these terms and conditions, the Zone Media service conditions apply to the relations between SpeedZone and the affiliate, with possible differences agreed upon in the customer contract.
